A refusal to accept a Mother's Day gift has Covington Police officers searching for a man who reportedly assaulted a woman in front of her two daughters.

Officers are searching for 24-year-old Deandre Arnold after a fight erupted Sunday evening. Arnold reportedly went to the victim's home to give her a Mother's Day gift. When she told him that she wanted him to leave and that she wasn't interested in the present, he became irate.

According to the victim, Arnold struck her several times in the body and the back of her head in front of her 17-year-old daughter. From there he went outside and kicked over a trash can, spilling its contents, and then kicked the front door open, causing the frame to crack. He also is accused of knocking the victim's television off a stand, breaking it. During this time, the victim's 11-year-old daughter was also present.

Arnold allegedly fled in a burgundy Blazer (older model). In addition to this assault, Arnold also has warrants out for his arrest for probation violation, according to reports.
