Newton County School System’s county offices (the Board of Education Building and Service Center) will begin summer hours next week.

All offices will be closed for the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 27.

On May 28, employees will commence summer hours, working 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

The office will be closed on Friday, May 31.

Summer hours will continue through the first two weeks of July, with offices open Mondays-Thursdays, 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

All schools will be closed for students’ summer vacation.

They will reopen in time for student registration, planned for July 22-26, from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
