Public input is needed for the five-year update to Northeast Georgia’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS).

The CEDS Committee and Northeast Georgia Regional Commission want to hear what local residents, employees, students, business owners, and other members of the community see as priorities for regional economic development. The questionnaire can be found here: http://tiny.cc/cedsurvey.

The CEDS is the guide for economic development across the 12-county Northeast Georgia region. The CEDS’ strategies, goals, and objectives facilitate access to U.S. Economic Development Administration grants and other Federal and State funding for local infrastructure, civic centers, and other public projects. The CEDS Committee, made up of public and private representatives from each Northeast Georgia county, will steer the document update, with support from Northeast Georgia Regional Commission staff.

The questionnaire will be open through May 21st, 2017. A draft of the CEDS Update will be available for public review and comment during the month of July under the Planning & Government Services section of NEGRC.org.
