The city of Covington Police Department donated $1,000 to the Newton County Special Olympics equestrian team out of their “Police Who Care” fund. This money was used to help fund the athletes at their equestrian competitions. They competed regionally and then in the state events in Perry. Here are some representatives of the equestrian team accepting the check from the police officers: (Back row) Capt.
