The Miracle League of Newton County is currently working on several events to benefit the program this Christmas.

1) The Newton Plaza Chick-fil-A is hosting a Spirit Day for the Miracle League Saturday from 6 a.m.  to 10 p.m.  A portion of their all-day proceeds will come to the Miracle League.

 2) The Miracle League will have a table handing out chocolate baseballs this Sunday at the Twilights at Chimney Park sponsored by the Friends of Newton Parks — one of the  Miracle League partners.  Admission costs  $3 per person or $5 per family unit and runs  5 to 7:30 p.m. at the park behind the Newton County Library on Floyd Street.

3) The Oaks is again giving their proceeds from their Dec. 17 Christmas Extravaganza Golf to the Miracle League.  In addition, The Oaks has added a “Family Night” to this event on Friday, Dec. 16, which will feature  Mr. and Mrs. Claus, cookie decorating and golf cart rides of the decorated course. The cost is $10 per family.

4) Lastly, the Kiwanis Club of Covington, another Miracle League partner, is selling $5 raffle tickets for a chance to win The Polar Express Model Train and Layout with all proceeds benefiting The Miracle League. The drawing will be held on Dec. 15.
