Newton Trails to host bike rides

Newton Trails is gearing up for two upcoming bike rides.

The first will take place Sunday as part of the group’s monthly Covington Community Bike Ride. The ride will be 4 ½ miles for bikers of all abilities, beginning and ending on the Covington square.

For those up for more, the riders will go back to the Eastside Trail.

Newton Trails will also meet Saturday, March 8, to ride Peachtree City’s 90 miles of paved bike path. The group will experience the paths of the Planned City, riding for an hour or two before having lunch at Partners II Pizza on 215 Northlake Drive in Peachtree City.

The group will gather at the Covington Park and Ride on Turner Lake Road at 9 a.m. with a departure time of 9:15 a.m.

Riders can also meet at Partners II Pizza in Peachtree City at 10:30 a.m.
