The Newton High School weight room will be getting a heavy facelift after the Newton County Board of Education approved Superintendent Samantha Fuhrey’s recommendation to purchase new equipment due to the current equipment’s condition.

New purchases will include racks, bars, weights, dumbbells, benches and associated peripherals and will be bought from Samson Equipment, Inc.

The total price for the purchase is $65,007 and includes all equipment, delivery and supervised installation. This cost will be paid for with capital funds.
