The Town of Newborn Council will meet in a called session at 7 tonight to discuss appointment of a new council member and to discuss the right of way of the unused Norfolk Southern rail line through town.

The replacement member is being brought on to replace John Donaldson as the Post 2 representative. The mayor and council will discuss the replacement in in open session

.Donaldson announced his resignation at the previous meeting. According to Town Clerk Elisa Rowe, he has taken a job with Emory and has moved out of the town's limits.

According to the agenda, the mayor and council are also going to discuss the unused Norfolk Southern railroad right of way in an executive session.
