In wake of the recent tragedies of the past week, the Newton County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) has received an outpouring of support from local Newton County residents.

On Monday, the NCSO received a visit from several members of the community who presented cards and doughnuts to the agency as a “Thank You,” according to a press release.

On Tuesday, the office received a delivery from the Williams family that contained 400 goody bags filled with treats and messages. According to the family, the bags are meant to say, “Thank you for service to our community and to brighten the days of the NCSO staff.”

In two press releases, the NCSO expressed their gratitude to the community for their love and support.
