Memorial Day festivities ended in one fatality and multiple arrests in Newton County over the holiday weekend.A 22-year-old man, Andrew Stoddard, was killed in a single car accident on Boogers Hill Road. Authorities responded at 4:55 a.m. and found Stoddard and his 1999 Dodge Ram. According to friends of Stoddard, he had been at a party in the area that evening.
