Man turns in wallet after calling 911

Typically police officers are called when wallets have been stolen, but in a surprisingly happy twist, one man called 911 to report that he had found a wallet in the parking lot Sunday afternoon.

Officers met with Larry Fitzgerald who reported that he’d been in the parking lot in front of Stevie B’s restaurant when he noticed a black wallet on the ground next to a handicapped parking place. He immediately picked the wallet up and called for police.

The wallet contained a driver’s license with a Brown Bridge address and the wallet was returned to the proper owner by police later that day.
