Local musicians to play with Athens symphony

Guest performers: Two young Newton County musicians will perform with the Athens Youth Symphony and Philharmonia at its spring concert at 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, in the Hugh Hodgson Concert Hall of the University of Georgia Performing Arts Center.

Madeleine Marshall (left), cello, and Julia Marshall, violin, will perform in the free concert, which will feature 120 young musicians from all over North Georgia. The concert will include works by Mussorgsky, Ravel and Respighi, and it will feature violinist Angela Pulliam in Saint-Saën's Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso.
