Veterans, particularly those from World War II and the Korean War, will be honored at 11 a.m., Saturday on the square in a ceremony hosted by the Newton County Republican Party.

"We want to give special recognition to veterans of World War II and the Korean War. They're dying fast and furious," said local GOP Chairwoman Delia Fleming.

Anyone who knows of local veterans can call Fleming at (770) 364-4429. The party will have items to donate to veterans.

U.S. Rep. Rob Woodall (R-Lawrenceville) will speak, as will magistrate judge and former Marine John DeGonia.
