The pastor of Atlanta Deliverance Tabernacle, Larry Bryant, is also a small business owner, and he’s passionate about helping others in his community get their own businesses up and running.

Atlanta Deliverance is hosting its small business expo for those who want to start a new business or improve their existing one from 11:30 a.m.- 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, 3163 Corley St. NW in Covington.

The cost is $7.50 for those who register ahead of time at atlantadeliverancetabernacle.com  or by calling 678-342-2360 or $10 at the door; finger foods will be served for lunch.

Bryant and church member Sandra King said a variety of successful local business owners will be on hand to share advice about investing, accounting, finances and other legal aspects, and King said the business owners will give advice about “being dedicated and committed to jumping off” on a new business venture.

King said the business owners will give brief presentations, but will be handing out contact information and are willing to mentor new business owners.

“They’re trying to inspire, motivate and help; they’ve been doing this for a long time,” King said.

Bryant said this will be the fourth or fifth event the church has held, and he hopes the church will start having similar events three to four times a year.
