Based on preliminary data from the Technical College System of Georgia, Georgia Piedmont Technical College has the highest summer semester increase in student enrollment among the 25 technical colleges statewide.
The college has seen a total enrollment increase of 17 percent, and the number of students taking 12 credit hours or higher increased to 29 percent against the system’s average, which is 7 percent.
Under the leadership and direction of GPTC’s new president Dr. Jabari Simama, the college has refocused itself on new processes and programs.
"We are excited about the continued growth of our college," said Simama. "There is a great need in our community for education, and we are delighted to help more students obtain higher-paying jobs and the American dream."
