COVINGTON, Ga — Eastside High School was placed on administrative lockdown Tuesday afternoon after reports of an altercation. 

Sherri Partee, director of Public Relations for Newton County Schools, confirmed the lockdown and that parents were notified of a lockdown via a robocall, while also saying that there was no indication of a weapon. The altercation is under investigation.
