Drivers beware: Bump robberies on rise

WINDER - Police in the north Georgia city of Winder are warning motorists about crimes they describe as "bump robberies," when a suspect bumps a car and then robs the occupants.

Winder police tell WAGA-TV that such robberies are on the rise in the South.

Police in Winder have been investigating one recent highway robbery in which a local businessman thought he'd been in a normal fender bender until he got out of his car and was attacked.

Nikesh Patadia says three men wearing masks attacked him and stole bank deposits from his Winder convenience store.
