A Dollar General employee called police Wednesday after a woman got into an argument with her and slapped her across the face in the store.
The employee told police the woman who slapped her was a regular at the store on Ga. Highway 36. She said the woman had come into the store earlier that day with her daughter. Then, roughly 20 minutes later, she came back by herself and immediately walked up to the victim, confronting her because, according to the victim, the woman said her daughter heard her talking about them when they were in the store earlier.
The report said the woman then picked up several items and began checking out. As another employee rang her up, she allegedly reached across the counter and slapped the victim across the face, threatening to return at closing.
Although the officer remained at the store until closing, the female did not return, according to reports.
