Sheriff's deputies arrested 17-year-old Ladarius Lockhart and charged him in connection with an armed robbery at the Oak Hill BP station that occurred Saturday morning.
Shortly after 11 a.m., deputies responded to a call from a BP employee reporting the robbery. The employee said that a black male wearing a grey hoodie and a mask pointed a "long black gun" at her and ordered her to empty the cash register into a bag. The suspect then fled.
After setting up a perimeter around the BP, deputies found discarded cloths and a gun that matched the description given by the victim. Another deputy then spotting a black male in the area, and identified him as Lockhart, who was linked to the crime.
Lockhart, a Covington resident, was taken to the local jail and charged with armed robbery, pointing a gun at another, possession of a firearm during a crime, and obstruction.
