COVINGTON, Ga. — A crash shut down traffic on Interstate 20 late Sunday night.

The Georgia Department of Transportation reported the crash on I-20 at the John R. Williams Highway exit.
It happened at 9:52 p.m.

Eastbound traffic wasn’t cleared until 11:49 p.m., while westbound traffic didn’t get moving until three minutes before midnight.

Details on the crash were not immediately available from the Georgia State Patrol, but paramedics from Piedmont Newton Hospital responded.
