CPD searching for man who robbed Covington bank

The Covington Police Department is in search of a man who robbed the Bank of North Georgia at 4128 Hwy 278 NE Wednesday afternoon, according to a Be-On-The-Lookout (BOLO) issued by the department.

The suspect is a black male, aged 40-50 years old with a mustache and shaven arms. He was wearing sunglasses and a white baseball cap.

According to CPD, the suspect walked into the bank and handed a note to the teller stating that he was armed and robbing the bank. The suspect left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
