AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) — Law officers say they've taken six young people into custody -- including one who has been charged with murder -- after a fatal shooting in the parking lot of a Kroger grocery store in Augusta.

Authorities say 18-year-old Montravius Deshawn McNair of Covington was shot several times late Thursday night in the parking lot of the Kroger store on Deans Bridge Road. Deputy Coroner Kenneth Boose said McNair died of his wounds.

The Augusta Chronicle reports (http://bit.ly/Pdq9uv ) that his death is the fourth Augusta homicide this year.

Sheriff's officials say one of the teenage suspects has been charged with felony murder, while others face misdemeanor charges of affray.

Authorities said details of the gunfire weren't released because the investigation is ongoing and other suspects were still being sought.
