COVINGTON, Ga. — Another late-season freeze is in the forecast for Newton County.
The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for Tuesday morning, and more bitter cold could be on its heels for Wednesday.
A freeze warning will be in effect from 6 until 10 a.m. Tuesday. A freeze watch will be in effect late Tuesday night through Wednesday morning.
A wind advisory remains in effect until 7 p.m. Monday.
Temperatures are expected to dip into the lower 30s Tuesday morning and the upper 20s to lower30s Wednesday morning across much of north Georgia.
