A variance for a proposed 150-foot cell phone tower at 10816 Old Atlanta Highway has been heard but not yet approved by Newton County officials. A public hearing on the variance is scheduled before the Board of Zoning Appeals at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25. A story in Friday’s Covington News contained incorrect information.
