The city of Porterdale is pushing residents to be registered to vote for this fall's city elections, and a voter registration drive will take place all week at Porterdale City Hall.
The drive will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday.
Residents can pick up voter registration forms from city hall or Burnie's BBQ, Jimbo's Grill at the Mill, Porterdale Bar & Grill, Porterdale Library and the Porterdale Mill Lofts (residents only). They can then eitehr register at city hall or mail in their forms; the last day to register for this November's election is Tuesday, Oct. 11.

The mayor's seat and three city council seats are up for election this year, and all four seats will be contested.
Patterson is also organizing a candidates forum for Porterdale from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Porterdale Mill Lofts.
