C.A.R.E. Inc, a local non-profit organization that offers aid to Porterdale residents in need, will be hosting a silent auction on Saturday to raise money for the organization.

The items to bid on include paintings, gourds, gift baskets, quilts and other items, all provided by local artists and businesses.

The event will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Porterdale Mill Lofts. Admission is $10.

Refreshments will be provided by Beverly and Charles Turner. Free wine and snacks will be served. Anita Denny and Gabe Long will be providing live music and entertainment.

C.A is still looking for donations of items to sell at the auction. Anyone wishing to donate to the event should contact C.A.R.E. Chair Linda Finger for more information. Donations of money to the non-profit are also accepted.
