Changing of the guard: Bob Stafford, a local businessman, takes over the reins of the Covington Rotary Club. Stafford, a long time Rotarian, takes over for Alice Queen, publisher of the Newton/Rockdale Citizen. Also  serving this year are Wayne Pugh, secretary, Paul Courchaine, treasurer,  Brook Collins, president-elect, and directors at large Jody Carver and Greg Pope. Other directors are Club Administration Director Thomas Kephart, Membership Director Doug Bolton, Service Director Chris Jueschke, Club Public Relations Director T. Pat Cavanaugh and Rotary Foundation Director Mike Lassiter.

Outgoing Rotary President Alice Queen named Rotarian Joe Davidson as Covington Rotarian of the Year.
