Child dies in single car accident
Woman, two children flown to hospital, in critical condition

A five-year-old child was killed in a single car accident Friday, according to 1st Lt. Mark Mitchell with the Newton County Sheriff's Department.

A call came in to the NCSO at roughly 12:45 p.m. and deputies headed to Ga. Highway 162 near Avery Place subdivision. When they arrived they found a blue car with three children and one adult woman inside.
One child, a 5-year-old, was confirmed dead. The other two children and their mother were flown to an Atlanta hospital where they were in critical condition as of Friday afternoon.

Georgia State Patrol and the NCSO traffic unit are working together currently to figure out what could have happened in the single car accident.
