Business breaks ground for expansion in Covington

COVINGTON, Ga. – Covington Mayor Ronnie Johnston and other local officials joined Innovative Air Technologies president Kacy Orr to break ground on the company’s $2.2 million expansion Tuesday morning on Georgia Peach Avenue off of American Way.

According to a release, Innovative Air has been a Covington-based company since it was founded in 2001. In manufactures low humidity desiccant dehumidifiers. The company currently has 15 employees and hopes to add five more in 2019. The company has gone from a little over $2 million in revenue in 2016 to a projected $5 million in 2019. The new building will allow them to grow to $17-$20 million without moving again and allow them to double or triple their team during this growth.
