The Past President Parley Luncheon was held on Friday, where Teddy Bears were decorated. President Lula V. Smith-Rachel’s theme was "Top Flight" and her bear was decorated accordingly. The American Legion raised $5,000 for nursing scholarships, which will be distributed in five scholarships at $1,000 each. Others in attendance from Covington were 10th District Commander Terrell Moore, Post 32 Commander Bobby Hamby and wife Deborah Hamby (Unit 32 President of the American Legion Auxiliary), Past State Commander and Adjudicate of Post 32 Roger Tingler and his wife Tootles, Harry and Versie Braham and Winston Rachels.
