Community & Southern Bank (CSB) recently congratulated the four Peachtree Academy elementary school students chosen as this year’s winners of the inaugural Budding Artist contest.

The Budding Artist contest invited students in kindergarten through fifth-grade from Peachtree Academy in Covington to create a picture of what they like best about their home during the spring. More than 50 entries were received.

The four winners will be featured in the Covington Community & Southern Bank office until fall. Additionally, each winner will receive a $50 savings account, and Peachtree Academy’s art department will receive a $250 donation from CSB.

“At CSB, we believe it’s important to invest in the children of our local communities”, says Mark Abernathy, CSB President. “Celebrating the work of these talented local students is a meaningful way to show our commitment to the Covington community.”

The Covington community is invited to support its local artists by viewing the featured art which will be on display at the local CSB office by late April.
