DECATUR - NASA astronaut Col. Eric A. Boe will speak at Fernbank Science Center in Atlanta.

Boe, who graduated from the DeKalb County school district, will deliver free lectures at the Fernbank Science Center at 6 p.m. today and Friday. He also will speak at three middle schools and four elementary schools.

Boe was pilot of the final mission for space shuttle Discovery during its 13-day flight from Feb. 24-March 9. He led the 5.3 million-mile mission to the International Space Station to deliver more equipment and help upgrade the space station's systems.
