Southern Heartland Gallery on the Square has extended the Silent Auction on its Art Guitar until Dec. 22. The guitar previews three other guitars to be auctioned at the Art Guild Fundraiser, Monte Carlo for the Arts, on Feb. 6. The guitar was painted by SHA Gallery Artist Linda Pflug.

The guitars were donated by The Sylvia and William Gretsch Memorial Foundation, which aspires to make community life better and has established a commitment towards community service, providing the guitars to those organizations whose mission is the same. The foundation’s only requirement is that the guitars be artistically embellished.

Proceeds of the Silent Auction go to the instructional fund of Southern Heartland Arts, Inc., a 501 (c)(3) organization for the visual arts.

Stop by the Gallery on the square to enter a bid so some lucky person will have a guitar under the tree on Christmas Eve. The winner may pick up the guitar at the close of business Tuesday, Dec. 22.
