The Newton County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) has received "multiple viable tips" that missing 15-year-old Tamarjai Kendrick is in the Atlanta area.

A release issued Wednesday said NCSO investigators are in constant contact with the Atlanta Police Department's missing persons unit.

Kendrick was last seen around 3 p.m. on March 25 entering a black Chrysler, driven by an unknown black male, according to NCSO Sgt. Michael Cunningham.

A sheriff’s office release describes Kendrick as a black female, 5-feet, 6-inches tall and about 125 pounds. According to NCSO, she was last seen wearing a black/green/gray jacket and black pants.

She is believed to be in either Georgia or Florida.

“The Newton County Sheriff’s Office is in the midst of an aggressive investigation into the whereabouts of Tamarjai,” the release said. “At this time, there is no indication of foul play. All leads, regardless of how slight, will be followed up on.”

The NCSO is asking that anyone with information on the location of Kendrick call 678-625-1400 or 911. Anonymous callers can call the sheriff’s office tip line at 678-625-5007 or email anonymoustipline@newtonsheriffga.org.
