LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) — An alligator that had been living in the pond of a suburban Atlanta subdivision was removed, but not before biting the trapper on his arm.
WSB-TV aired video showing the gator sinking its teeth into the arm of Jason Clark as he carried the gator from the neighborhood pond in Lawrenceville, just northeast of Atlanta.
The bite drew blood, but caused no serious injury. Clark said moments after being bitten that he's had worse bites in his career.
Neighbors had expressed concerns that the gator would keep growing, so Clark and his wife showed up Wednesday to remove it. Authorities believe the gator was a pet that someone might have dropped off in the lake.
