MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) — The man accused of threatening to eat a judge's children has been denied bond and is ordered to undergo psychiatric evaluation.

James Edward Satterfield appeared before a Douglas County judge in Cobb County Superior Court — Cobb County judges recused themselves from the case.

In a warrant, authorities said 58-year-old Satterfield sent a letter to the wife of Cobb County Superior Court judge Reuben Green saying he would kill and eat their children. Satterfield was arrested in late December on charges of terroristic threats and stalking.

The Marietta Daily Journal (http://bit.ly/XJa1Ox ) reports Green presided over his divorce case.

A court date has not been set and a call to Satterfield's attorney was not answered Thursday.
