It's another big week of music in and around C-town. Let's dig in!

Today: Jam Session with Grayz N Bluz at Porterdale Bar and Grill at 3 p.m.

The next installment of the PB&G's Sunday Series is a good one. Grayz N Bluz will be the house band and folks are invited to come play with the band. Open jam session! Sounds like fun.

Whiskey Bent live at Amici, Friday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m.

The Whiskey Bent fellas, Marc Airington and Fluff Whatley, return to their musical home base, Amici Covington. These guys always put on a great show with a mix of Classic Rock, Classic Country and Soul. It's usually a pretty good crowd when they play here so you might want to try to get there early. Fluff's impressive and soulful vocals mixed with Marc's nice guitar playing is always a treat.

Leighlynn Shine live at The Speakeasy on Saturday Feb. 25 at 9 p.m.

Billed as a celebration of Johnny Cash, whose birthday is on Sunday, the Shine crew will be playing a full show that will be heavy on Cash covers. In addition to that, you will hear some amazing originals and other choice covers featuring a full and dynamic sound that includes two incredible lead guitarists, a superb keyboard player and a very impressive rhythm section. And naturally you will hear some lovely vocals from Brittany and Cindy. And though not a Cash song, you'll be in for a treat if they break out their rendition of "Don't Think Twice." I heard it a few weeks back at The Listening Room, and it was easily one of the best versions of that classic Dylan song that I've ever heard! Opening act: Allison Scroggs featuring Cooper Sanridge at 8 p.m.

Nice lineup at Mystic Grill.

On Friday the 24th at 7 p.m., the one and only Matt Moncrief will be back at this excellent venue. A guitar player extraordinaire and a very nice singer as well, Matt brings a style all his own that you'll really enjoy. The next evening, Saturday the 25th, Amy Rae, Joe & Jonah return and as many of you already know - these guys always put on a great show.

Jake Worthington live at The Listening Room, Saturday, Feb. 25 at 8 p.m.

This Country performer was the 2014 runner-up on Season 6 of NBC's "The Voice." Ever since then, this young fella has been tearing it up. Multiple hits on the charts including, "Just Keep Falling in Love," Worthington has also been seen in music videos on GAC and CMT. This should be a cool show.
