Brittni Hope Sherrill and Thomas Allen Sherrill of Covington announce the birth of their son Gavin Thomas Sherrill Dec. 10 at Newton Medical Center. He weighed 8 pounds and 11 ounces and was 20 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Sheila Hughes of Covington and Steve Hughes of Porterdale. Paternal grandparents are Thomas W. and Sheila Sherrill of Covington.
