If you’re looking for some entertainment this weekend for kids and adults of all ages, look no further than Parker Road in Conyers.
The Frost Acres Family Events will be hosting the Walk Among the Heroes Veterans Fundraiser and Festival that will feature over 80 vendor booths at the Rockdale Government Annex building, 1400 Parker Rd, this Saturday. The booths will include activities such as crazy hair booths, pony rides, face painting, games, moonwalks and gospel singing.
Also, there will be dancing performers from the Georgia Peach Dance Academy, a child safety program administered by local law enforcement Sgt. Amanda Pilgrim and a Harley-Davidson bike showcase by Falcons Fury Harley-Davidson.
Even the most famous mouse in the world, Mickey Mouse, will make an appearance at the event.
Medical officials from Rockdale Medical Center and LifeSouth Community Blood Centers will be on hand to perform blood pressure screenings for the former and host a blood drive by the latter.
A raffle of donated items will take place. The money raised from the fundraiser will go to benefit the Walk of Heroes Veterans War Memorial in Conyers.
Food will be served and admission to the event is free. The fundraiser will last from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 2. There will be a special ceremony for all veterans, their families and the vendors at 9:30 a.m.
