Just a thought: Accountability

One thing is for sure, we are all getting older. While this may be a fact, it doesn't have to be a negative one. I am certain we can all look back and voice some regrets: not taking this opportunity or making the wrong decision here or there. I wish I had done this instead of that, etc. If you were to read the book of Ecclesiastes, you would find Solomon's regrets and advice to the young. He regretted that he forsook his walk with God and forfeited so much that his life (as good as it may have seemed to the outside world) was empty and meaningless. So, to us and the young he gives such advice as; Remember you're accountable to God (11:9) and, Keep God as your priority (12:1). But what does it mean to be accountable to God and keep him as your priority so our lives won't become empty and meaningless? Here is some help: 1) Include God in your day to day life. 2) Consult God daily and first for direction, making decisions and seeking approval. 3) Acknowledge his presence at all times and consider yourself in partnership with him (we often think God works with us - we need to work with him). 4) Remember, all good things come from him.
