Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Todd McCart announce the engagement of their daughter Ashley Lynn McCart of Covington to Joshua Richard Cox of Cornelia, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Henry Cox.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lynward Thompson of Covington and Mr. and Mrs. Luther “Junebug” McCart of Oxford and great-granddaughter of Mrs. Agneese McCart of Oxford.

The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. David Terrell of Cornelia and Mrs. Sara Cox of Locust Grove and great-grandson of Mrs. Gladys Newell of Cornelia. He will graduate from Atlanta Christian College in May and will work as youth pastor of First Christian church, Cocoa Beach, Fla., where the couple will live after the wedding.

The couple plan to wed at Cornelia Christian Church June 6 at 3:30 p.m.
