David and Dorothy Garrison of Midlothian, Texas, announce the engagement of their daughter Amanda Joy Garrison to Justin Christopher Kennon of Knoxville, Tenn., son of Teresa Kennon and the late Tommy Kennon of Oxford.

The bride is the granddaughter of the late Rob Taylor and Mary Taylor of Pheonix, Ariz., and Charles and Clara Garrison of Huntsville, Ala. She is a graduate of Newton High School and of the University of Georgia, magna Cum Laude with Honors, with a Bachelor of Science in journalism with a minor in political science. She is employed as a sales representative for Eli Lilly and Company.

The future groom is the grandson of Leland and Ruby Ellis of Oxford and the late Felton and Kathleen Kennon of Jacksonville, Fla. He is a graduate of Newton High School and Georgia Tech with highest honors with a Bachelor of Science in science, technology and culture with a pre-medical certificate. He is a territory manager for Styker.

The wedding will take place July 25 at Allen Memorial United Methodist Church with the reception following at Villa Serena, Conyers.
