Ayaana K. Johnson and Nicholas M. Johnson, of Covington, are announcing the birth of their daughter, Kennedy Gabrielle Johnson, born at Rockdale Medical Center on March 11, 2011. She weighed 7 pounds and was 19 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Mr. Bill Brown and Ms. Michelle Simmons-Brown, both of St. Petersburg, Fla. Paternal grandparent is Ms. Sophia Cloud of Lawrenceville.
