Mr. Willie James Key died May 22. the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Luther Kay, he was born in 1933. He was a kind hearted, devoted husband, father, grandpop and uncle and was loved by all. Mr. Key was preceded in death by parents; brothers Mr. Oscar Key, Mr. Rufus Key, Mr. Fred Key; sisters Mrs. Inez Williams, Mrs. Evelyn Hearn; nephews Mr. Tony Glover, Mr. William (Kanta) Hearn; sister-in-law Mrs. Birdell Ward; and brother-in-law Mr. Calvin E. Bowden.

Surviving are wife Evangelist Mary L. Jordan Key; daughters Ms. Paulette Gotel, Mr. and Mrs. Bennie (Martha) Thomas; son Mr. Marvin L. Jordan; foster children Mr. James Hardeman, Ms. Cynthia Wright, all of Covington; sisters the Rev. and Mrs. Eddie (Lucille) Glover of Covington; Mr. and Mrs. Willie (Eunice) Rainey Jr. of Lithonia; brother Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Mary J.) Key of Covington; aunties Ms. Mildred Smith, Ms. Muszet Patrick of Atlanta, Ms. Lois Allison of Evanston, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law Mr. Phillip Williams of Covington, Mr. William Hearn of Atlanta, Mr. Ernest and Evangelist (Lizzie) Bowden of Atlanta, Mr. Joe L. Ward of Monticello; sister-in-law Ms. Christina Key of Covington; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. May 29 at Rock Springs Baptist Church, Monticello with the Rev. Jimmy Halls officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
