Keith and Linda Williams of Covington announce the engagement of their daughter Georgette Ashley Williams to Kevin Wayne Magness, son of Keith and Linda Magness of Monticello.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth King of Porterdale, Georgia and Inez Williams and the late George Williams of Great Falls, S.C. She is a graduate of Eastside High School and of the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in education. She is employed with the Walton County Public School System.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Elbert William Thomas of Highland Home, Ala., and Alma Ruth Martinez of College park, Georgia and Fern Magness and the late Gerald William Magness of Rex. He is a graduate of Monticello High School and Atlanta Christian College with a Bachelor of Science in biblical studies. He is employed with Lifebridge Christian Church.

The wedding is planned for Aug. 16 at Eastridge Community Church, Covington.
