Vandy McGiboney

Mr. Vandy McGiboney of Covington died Feb. 29 at Newton Medical Center at the age of 57. Son of the late Horace and Vera Franklin McGiboney, he was a carpenter in the construction business. Mr. McGiboney loved going to the Waffle House, riding a Harley motorcycle and fishing. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.

 

Survivors include wife Wanda McGiboney of Covington, daughters Amanda Harston of Monticello, Marie Stevens of Covington, Bonnie White of Newborn, sons Patrick McCullers of Hampton, Benjamin McGiboney of Covington, 17 grandchildren, sister Carolyn Mitchell, brothers Floyd McGiboney and Lee McGiboney of Covington.

 

Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan on 1215 Access Road, with Pastor Brandon Walden officiating. Internment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park.
