Barbara Dingler, Tax Commissioner of Newton County announced Friday that her office has launched an innovative new Web site that will help the tax payers of Newton County and those who do business in Newton County by allowing them to access important tax information online. The tax information is available at the following web address:

"It has always been my goal to offer our Newton County property owners and those who provide mortgage related services to them the tools that make my office easier to do business with," Dingler said. "Our Web site with its integration into PayPal's secure Internet payment system will allow anyone regardless of where they live the capability to look up public information on Newton County property and then pay the taxes online if they wish using their credit card or the other methods that PayPal offers."

The Tax Commissioner's office plans to continue to upgrade the technology and services it offers

"I want anyone that has a computer with Internet service to have a satellite office of the Newton County Tax Commissioner in their home" Dingler said.

The site was developed and will be maintained by Sturgis Web Services of Fort Mill, South Carolina. PayPal® is an ebay® company and is the largest secure Internet payment provider globally.
