Shawathia Pope and Kenquavis Reid of Covington announce the birth of their daughter Sha'Lyric Quashaunna Reid at Rockdale Medical Center June 6. She weighed 1 pound and 5 ounces and was 10.5 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Tiki Chaney and Warren Pope and great-grandparents Ellen Bagby, Emma Pope and Eugene Cooksey. Great-great grandparents are Hazel Bagby and Jessie Early, all of Covington.

Paternal grandparent is Evonne Reid, and great-grandmother Annie Reid, both from Covington.

Siblings to the newborn are Kenshaun and Zariah.
