Ms. Ruth Goldman, 88, of Covington, died at Covington Manor Nursing Home Dec. 2. She was born and raised in Texas and was a Licensed Practical Nurse. Ms. Goldman was known for her loving and caring disposition and retired from the nursing profession after 25 years. She worked at a tuberculosis hospital in Houston, Texas, and also a nursing home in Palestine, Texas. Ms. Goldman was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed flower gardening. She loved to bake and was especially known for her pies and biscuits. Ms. Goldman was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.

Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law Bennie and Betty Goldman of Covington, Dan and Bonnie Goldman of Mansfield; grandchildren Debbie Brown, Jana Crowe, Roy Goldman, Jeanenne Harrison, Cassie East; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 4 in the chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, with Pastor Camile Holmes officiating. Interment followed at Lawnwood Memorial Park.
