Rodeny J. Theriot, 57, of Covington, died May 3 at Heartland Hospice. Born in Louisiana, Mr. Theriot was a fantastic Cajun cook and enjoyed woodworking. He was a kind and patient man and a loving and devoted husband, father, step-father, brother, grandfather and son. Mr. Theriot was preceded in death by father Preston Joseph Theriot, son Ryan Theriot and grandson Alex.
Surviving are wife Catherine (Cathy) H. Theriot of Covington; daughter and son-in-law Sue and Harry Marto of Metairie, La.; son and daughter-in-law Daniel and Amanda Davenport of Virginia Beach, Va.; step-sons and daughter-in-law Zach and Jennifer Braden of Oxford, Josh Braden of Athens; grandchildren Chase Theriot, Brittany Marto, Andrew marton, Ashton Davenport; mother Enola G. Theriot of Breaux Bridge, La.; sisters and brother-in-law Rita and Lenny Malorin of Breaux Bridge, Gloria Terrell of Carenero, La.; brothers and sisters-in-law Preston John and Nell Theriot of St. Martinville, La., Ray and Phyllis of Theriot of Breaux Bridge.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 10, in the Access Road chapel of Caldwell & Cowan with Pastor Mike Keaton officiating. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, May 9.
